MR. THEIVENDRAN N. GANAPATHY Theivendran graduated with an external LL.B(Hons) Degree from the University of London in 1997 and received the Certificate in Legal Practice in 1998. Thereafter he did his pupillage under the guidance of Mr Yeoh Siok Kee of Messrs S K Yeoh & Jeganathan and was called to the Malaysian Bar on the 12th of November 1999. He practised with Messrs Manikam Avadiar & Co and then joined this firm on the 3rd of May 2001 as a legal assistant. He was appointed as a senior legal assistant on the 1st of January 2007 and specialises in insurance and Takaful litigation.
MS. CHAN HWEE LI Hwee Li obtained her LLB (Hons)
from University of London (external) in year 1997 and obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in year 1998. She then read in the Chambers of Mr. Sucha Singh at Messrs. Sucha Singh & Partners and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 18th August 1999. She remained in Messrs. Sucha Singh & Partners as a legal assistant handling banking and general litigation as well as conveyancing matters. She then joined Messrs. Vazeer Akbar Majid & Co. in the area of banking and general litigation. During the time with Messrs. Vazeer Akbar Majid & Co, she was actively involved with the activities of KL Legal Aid Centre and headed the Legal Aid Centre and migrant workers with Tenaganita Project as Project head. Thereafter she joined Messrs. Yeap & Yong where she practised general litigation. She joined this firm on 1st May, 2005 as legal assistant in the banking litigation department.
MS. CHITHRA JEGANATHAN Chithra read law at University of London (External) and graduated in LL.B (Honours) in 1994. She then obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice in 1996 and commenced her pupillage in the chambers of Dato' V.P. Nathan at Messrs V.P. Nathan & Partners. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of High Court of Malaya on the 6th of March 1997 and then commenced practice with Messrs V.P. Nathan & Partners until February 2005 and later joined Messrs Sabarudin, Othman & Ho. In February 2006 she joined this firm as a legal assistant and is currently doing Insurance and Takaful Litigation.
MS. NATHALEE OWYANG
Nathalee read law at the University of Buckingham, England and graduated with LL.B(Hons) in 1998. She further obtained her Master of Laws from the same University specialising in International Trade and Commercial Law and completed her Certificate of Legal Practice in 2000. Thereafter, she chambered under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Kan Weng Hin of Messrs Azam-Malek & Soh and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 28th September 2001. She then practised with Messrs Paul Chong & Nathan in the area of banking and general litigation and conveyancing. She later continued practise briefly in Messrs Y M Chin & Lee before joining this firm on 1st September, 2005 as a legal assistant and is currently practising in the area of conveyancing, corporate and commercial law.
MS. TAN SIXIN
Sixin graduated from the University of the West of England, Bristol with a second class upper LL.B (Honours) degree in 2005. The following year, she was awarded second class lower upon her completion of the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP). She then commenced her pupillage and read in the Chambers of Mr. Edmund Liew Yin Chiang. On 29th November 2007, she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). Her current area of practice is Insurance and Takaful, Reinsurance and Re-Takaful Litigation and Arbitration.
