TUNKU FARIK BIN TUNKU ISMAIL
Tunku Farik graduated from the University of Bristol, England in 1985 with a second class upper degree of the Bachelor of Laws. He was then called to the Degree of an Utter Barrister by the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn in 1986. He further obtained the degree of Master of Laws from the University of Cambridge, England, specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law. At Cambridge, he also studied Marine Insurance under Dr Malcolm Clarke. He was admitted to the Peninsular Malaysia Bar in 1988. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 1994. He has been specialising in Insurance and Takaful Law both in advisory and litigation since he started practice. He is also a Notary Public, a member of the International Fiscal Association, the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII), The International Bar Association (IBA), the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) and the Medico-Legal Society, Malaysia and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. |

MR. WONG HOK MUN
Wong Hok Mun graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with a second class upper LL.B degree in 1987 and was called to the Bar of England as a Barrister-at-Law (Middle Temple) in 1988. He was admitted to the Peninsular Malaysia Bar in 1989. He chambered and was a Legal Assistant at Messrs. Chooi & Co. before joining this firm in April 1990. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 1994. Hok Mun’s present area of practice is general litigation involving complex litigation matters across a broad range of areas including:- Negligence, Banking, Breach of Contract, Breach of Trust, Corporations Law, Intellectual Property, Industrial Disputes and Information Technology. |

MR. EDMUND LIEW YIN CHIANG
Edmund Liew graduated from the University of Hull with a LL.B degree in 1988 and was called to the Bar of England as a Barrister-at-Law (Middle Temple) in 1989. He was admitted to the Peninsular Malaysia Bar in 1990. He chambered and was a Legal Assistant at Messrs. Shook Lin & Bok before joining this firm on the 1st of September 1994. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 1994. His area of practice includes banking, conveyancing, corporate law, corporate finance and general commercial law. |

MR. BALAKUMAR BALASUNDRAM
Balakumar Balasundram graduated from University of Keele with Bachelors of Social Science in Law and Economics in 1988 and thereafter obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice in 1989. He chambered with Messrs. Choong Yik Son & Robiha for 3 months and completed the remaining period with this firm. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in September 1990. Balakumar’s present area of practice is litigation relating to Insurance and Takaful Law. MR. T. THARUMARAJAH
Tharu graduated from the University of London with LL.B (Hons) in 1989 and completed his Certificate in Legal Practice the following year. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in January 1993. He chambered with Messrs Gill & Tang and worked as a legal assistant in Messrs Mutalib Baharuddin and in Messrs P G Lim & Co prior to joining this firm. His current area of practice is Insurance and Takaful Litigation. He is a member of the Medico-Legal Society of Malaysia. |

MR. JOHN WONG YOK HON
John graduated from Warwick University, England with a second class upper degree for the LL.B (Hons) in 1991. He then sat for and obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice 1993. He did his pupillage under Tan Sri Zaki Tun Azmi of Messrs. Rashid & Lee and was called to the Bar of the High Court of Malaya in 1994. He joined the firm of Messrs. Choong Yik Son & Fiona Ghaus as a legal assistant for a short spell before joining this firm. His current area of practice is banking litigation and debt recovery. |

MR. ANANTHARAJAH SHANMUGAM
Ananth graduated with a LL.B degree from the University of London (External) in 1993. He later completed the Certificate in Legal Practice in 1995 before he chambered with Messrs. Azlin Alahakone & Associates. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1996 and joined this firm in April 1996. He currently specializes in Insurance and Takaful litigation, particularly in complex, high magnitude claims at trial and all appellate levels.

ENCIK ARHAM RAHIMY BIN HARIRI
Arham read law at Liverpool John Moores University. He was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln's Inn in November 1997. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in November 1998. He was a legal assistant in the Litigation Department of Messrs Kumar Jaspal Quah & Aishah from November 1998 to April 2003. Arham joined our firm in May 2003 and his area of practice includes banking and general litigation.

MS. JASVINDAR KAURJasvindar graduated with an external LL.B (Hons) Degree from the University of London in 1998 and received the Certificate in Legal Practice in 1999. Thereafter she did her pupillage under the guidance of Mr. Hong Kim Piow of Anuar Hong & Ong and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on the 11th of January 2001. She then joined this firm on the 15th of March 2001 as a legal assistant and her current area of practice is banking litigation.

MR. WONG WAI LEONG (STEVEN)
Steven read law at University of Glamorgan, Wales and graduated with honours in 1997. Thereafter, he completed the Bar Vocational Course at Inns of Court School of Law, London and was called to the English Bar as a Barrister of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn in 2000. He has also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Law (Legal Skills) from City University, London. Steven had a short stint with MUI Continental Insurance Berhad as a Claims Executive and later commenced pupillage under the guidance of Y.M. Tunku Farik Ismail. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001 and was retained as a Legal Assistant in our firm specialising in insurance and Takaful litigation. He ceased legal practice in 2005 to join a public listed company as a Legal Manager. Subsequently,
he joined an established insurance recovery company and later headed their Insurance Recovery Department. He rejoined our firm on August 16th 2006 as a Legal Assistant specialising in insurance and Takaful litigation. |
